Salt Works IV

Large ponds in which seawater vaporizes are created to produce sea salt, and, depending on the salt content, microorganisms change color. In his Salt Series Tom Hegen captures the stunning shapes and colors created by this process. The German photo artist’s work reflects upon the relationship between man and nature. His captivating series won him the Red Dot Design Award.
