RONDO from the Zieta Studio mirror collection is a decorative manifesto of the iconic FiDU technology, a sculpture-mirror in which reality is reflected in a slightly different way than usual.
RONDO is made of high-gloss polished stainless steel. Its simple form resembling a round totem is the result of experiments with the material and its properties. It reflects light and gently deforms the surrounding space. It is a functional and artistic object at the same time – a three-dimensional mirror-sculpture, in which reality itself produces painterly reflections.

Polish artist Oskar Zieta discovered an innovative technology for treating stainless steel. Using this technology, he lays two wafer-thin, laser-cut sheets of stainless steel on top of each other and literally inflates them. This results in shiny, sculptural works of art reminiscent of organic forms. Through the thickness of the stainless steel and the pressure applied, the artist can determine what shape the interior will take, even after it has been welded shut. The process, also called FIDU, is what Zieta uses to create his lightweight mirrors RONDO and TAFLA.
