  • Introduction

In homage to his artistic role models, Pierre-adrien Sollier casts masterpiece paintings, fashion icons, and pop culture legends in an entirely new light, reimagining them as Playmobil figures. After photographing the miniature figurines and using Photoshop to set the scene, he then recreates the resulting image with oils on canvas. Sollier calls the figures themselves “Mister Nobody”. To him, their charm lies in their stylised bodies and facial expressions. The French artist’s work is not just an ironic analysis of the familiar, but also a means of playing with expectations.
