Andreas Nicolas Fischer
  • Introduction

  • Bio

Andreas N. Fischer is one of the most significant representatives of Germany’s Digital Art movement. His works have an organic look and are reminiscent of expressionist pieces consisting of the finest brushstrokes. But Fischer has discovered an entirely different technique in the digital age. These computer-generated jamborees of color are created through a digital process the artist merely “initiates” then leaves to itself.

Once the process starts, the powerful streams of color flow into and out of each other, their course barely controllable. Fischer then captures a random moment of merging colors, “freezing” it for all eternity. This digital snapshot is a visual delight – delicate, rife with movement, and loaded with the energy required to generate its own rhythm.

Fischer’s diverse oeuvre demonstrates how he applies modern techniques to make an entirely new form of artistic expression. With his stunning pictures, videos, and installations, Andreas N. Fischer is leading the way for the next generation.
Artist Andreas N. Fischer was born in 1982 in Munich. Fischer studied Graphic Design at the University of the Arts in Berlin under the tutelage of Joachim Sauter, the German pioneer of media design. Fischer’s artworks have appeared in museums and galleries all around the world, including the Today Art Museum in Peking and the Digital Art Museum in Berlin.
